B.S. in Marine Engineering (BSMarE)

The course prepares students for careers as licensed marine engineering officers and engineering positions in associated shipping and shore side industries. It includes internal and external combustion engines, electricity and electronics, auxiliaries, and main propulsion machinery and the organization and operation of merchant vessels engineering plants. It also includes, student’s study of preventive maintenance and gain practical experience aboard ship in port and on the high seas.

B.S. in Marine Transportation (BSMT)

This course prepares the students as licensed ship deck officers, and allows them to easily transfer into management and operations positions within the transportation, inter-modal and petroleum industries. BSMT majors receive extensive theoretical education and practical training in navigation, seamanship, ship construction, design and damage control. Students train on ship simulators.
